Strong domestic sales and declining inventory levels were leading to increased talk that US producers would be able to implement a 5 cents/lb increase for May contracts, market sources said Wednesday. While contracts remained unsettled, there was a growing belief that an increase would happen, sources said. Domestic contract prices have not seen a monthly increase since September, and have fallen 16 cents/lb since that time, with the last two months rolling over.
