Linear low-density polyethylene import assessments in Latin America increased in Peru, tracking rising prices from key export markets, while Brazil remained stable. LLDPE pricing on a CFR Peru basis rose $5/mt, assessed Wednesday at $1,340-$1,350/mt amid a tight market and rising offers from key regions. Participants continued to talk the LLDPE market tight, specifically from the US, however the offers were deemed the most competitive this week, sources said. Participants indicated the LLDPE market was above the $1,300/mt range.
