Linear low-density polyethylene import assessments in Latin America increased in both Peru and Brazil, tracking rising prices from key markets. LLDPE pricing on a CFR Peru basis rose $30/mt, assessed Wednesday at $1,335-$1,345/mt amid tightening supply and rising offers from other regions. Market participants have been lamenting the few spot import offers in the West Coast of South America. A Perubased buyer indicated prices had breached the $1,300/mt level and surpassed it.
