US spot refinery-grade propylene gained 3 cents for the week, assessed Friday at 42.25-42.75 cents/lb delivered, while polymer-grade and chemical-grade propylene declined 1 cent on the week to 48.25-48.75 cents/lb delivered and 45.25-45.75 cents/lb delivered, respectively. The gains in RGP followed talks of planned production outages, with nine US Gulf Coast refineries undergoing turnarounds, while another three are affected by ongoing labor disputes and strikes, as Platts has reported.
