The European polyethylene terephthalate spot price was assessed at Eur890/mt FD NWE Wednesday, up Eur20 from the previous assessment on support from feedstock MEG and indications of higher demand. The freely negotiated contract prices for February was seen at Eur890/mt FD NWE in Northwest Europe, also up Eur20 from the previous week and at GBP710/mt FD for the UK, unchanged from last week.
