US low density polyethylene prices were assessed Wednesday at $1,642-$1,664/mt FAS Houston, up $11 week on week. Activity was heard limited as product was hard to secure from producers and demand from export markets in Latin America was limited due to the World Cup tournament in Brazil. Railcar prices were talked around 75-76 cents/lb, with a market source saying it was difficult to find product below the $1,650/mt FAS Houston level.
