Asian low density polyethylene prices were assessed up $25/mt week on week at $1,610/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday amid tight domestic supply in China, while the CFR Southeast Asia marker was assessed down $20/ mt over the same period at $1,560/mt due to low demand. LDPE supply in China was tight amid unplanned events that resulted in reduced run rates and shutdowns at several LDPE plants. Sinopec’s domestic list price for LDPE in East China rose Yuan 300/mt this week to Yuan 12,800/ mt, equating to $1,668.718/mt on an import parity basis.
