PVC import markets in Latin America continued to resist offer levels from the US and Asia, sources said this week. CFR Peru basis pricing fell $10/mt week on week, assessed Wednesday at $1,080-$1,090/mt in a slow market. Bids were heard as high as $1,075/mt CFR basis, while offers were heard as low as $1,090/mt CFR basis. Last week, a major reseller of PVC into the region acknowledged deals getting done as low as $1,080/mt CFR basis, with traders having little to no luck attracting attention with offers above $1,100/mt CFR basis.
