US low density polyethylene contract were heard settling 4 cents/lb higher for February as sources said strong domestic demand paired with weather-related logistical constraints were key factors in producers’ ability to push their increase through. Producers sources had been confident throughout the month that they would be able to increase contract prices for the first time since September after four consecutive months of flat prices.
