Supply constraints in the Mexican market have led to imports, with Brazil-origin product heard making its way to Altamira port as recently as two weeks ago. Brazilbased Braskem was was shipping 4,800 mt of propylene to Altamira in late February, according to a shipping agent report. Additional information regarding the shipment was not available by time of publication. Polypropylene producer Indelpro is a major consumer of propylene in Mexico with storage and resin production capacity in Altamira.
