Asian propylene prices rose this week amid a delay in the restart of Taiwan CPC’s residue fluid catalytic cracker. The FOB Korea marker was assessed up $20/mt week on week at $1,390/mt and the FOB Japan marker up $25/mt at $1,385/ mt. The CFR China marker also rose $25/mt over the same period, to $1,455/mt, while the CFR Taiwan marker rose $30/mt at $1,450/mt. Japan’s JX Nippon Oil & Energy Tuesday sold a cargo for mid-November loading at $1,455/ mt CFR East China.
