Butadiene pricing in Latin America continued to receive support from the US Gulf Coast, where contracts settled $66-$176/mt higher for March and spot assessments rose $22/mt week on week, fueled by snug supply. The region looks to the USG for guidance in pricing. Braskem, Brazil’s largest chemical maker by volume, was heard preparing to export at least 11,200 mt of butadiene this week out of Aratu port to undisclosed destinations.
