Asian ethylene prices weakened this week due to sluggish downstream demand. The CFR Northeast Asia marker tumbled $85/mt week on week to $1,250/mt Friday, while the CFR Southeast Asia marker fell $30/mt over the same period to $1,370/mt. Both markers were flat day on day. Bids were heard at $1,200/mt to low $1,200s/mt CFR Northeast Asia against offers in the high-$1,200s/mt CFR Northeast Asia Friday. A prompt cargo was heard at $1,245/ mt CFR Northeast Asia late Tuesday. Two deals were heard concluded at $1,270 and 1,280/mt CFR Northeast Asia, respectively, late Monday.
