US spot paraxylene slipped $15/mt week on week to a Friday assessment of $1,510/mt FOB USG with declines attributed to weak demand and decreasing feedstock MX, market sources said. No firm bids, offers or deals were heard this week. Sources continued to say there was no real market for PX and that it’s only notional at the moment. Globally, PX demand has been crippled amid sluggish demand from downstream PTA.
