US spot styrene fell 0.35 cents since last Friday to an assessment at 71.70 cents/lb FOB USG Thursday on weak demand and lower European price levels. Platts will not assess US markets Friday in observance of the Good Friday holiday. No deals were heard on the week, but a bid-offer range was heard post-assessment window Wednesday at 71.75-72.75 cents/lb FOB USG for April. Sources said the market was quiet during the week as many participants were in San Antonio, Texas, at the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers’ annual meeting.
