The US linear low-density polyetylene market was heard talked steady week on week on the back of healthy demand and limited supply, in part stemming from recent production issues resulting from Hurricane Isaac's landfall in late August. A US-based trader was heard offering butene grade for blown film at 67 cents/lb ($1,477/mt) FOB Houston. Sources had previously talked pricing in the mid- 60's cents/lb range on an FAS Houston basis.
