Brazil's PVC market was in a wait and see mode this week as the Brazilian government announced on March 26 the elimination of a fiscal benefit in the State of Santa Catarina for polymer imports. Effective April 20, the state would increase from 3% to 12% its value-added tax on polymers and iron ore, matching VATs in the rest of Brazil.
