US paraxylene was assessed $20/mt lower on the week to $1,485/mt FOB USG Friday as a trade was heard done late in the week. March PX was heard traded Thursday at $1,480/mt FOB USG. Sources said demand for PX is weak. After PX climbed $15/mt on Thursday to be assessed at $1,530/mt, with bid-offer ranges heard at $1,510-1,545/mt, PX dropped $45/mt Friday after news of the deal. Several traders said Friday they thought the market was closer to $1,500- 1,510/mt FOB USG, but no bids or offers were heard Friday.
