US crude stocks expected to decrease

Analysts surveyed Monday by S&P Global Platts expect US Energy Information Administration data to be released Wednesday to show a 3.3 million-barrel decline. One factor that could limit the size of the crude draw would be strong US Gulf Coast imports. USGC imports averaged 3.677 million b/d in the week ended May 13, the highest level since December, and far above the year-to-date average of 3.1 million b/d.
