Brazil's oil, gas output at record highs in August

Brazilian crude oil and natural gas production in August hit a record high for a third consecutive month as new wells in the prolific sub-salt region boosted output, the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) said Monday. Brazil produced an average 2.609 million b/d of crude in August, up 2.4% year on year and up 1.1% from the previous record of 2.581 million b/d set in July, the ANP said.
