Pertamina, Shell in crude processing deal

Jakarta-Indonesia’s Pertamina has reached a deal with Shell to process its share of Iraqi crude at the latter’s Bukom refinery in Singapore in a move that will boost the state-owned oil company’s 88 RON gasoline supplies by 1 million barrels/month and reduce reliance on imports. The contract will be signed next month and is expected to be effective over July- December 2016, a senior Pertamina official said late Wednesday. Shell beat India’s Reliance Industries Ltd. and Essar Oil, and ExxonMobil to win the deal.
