Floor, New York, N.Y. 10121-2298. New York-Oil futures rose Thursday in light trading as financial markets prepared for the outcome of the UK’s referendum on whether to remain in the European Union. NYMEX August crude settled 98 cents higher at $50.11/b. ICE August Brent settled up $1.03 at $50.91/b. NYMEX July ULSD settled 1.58 cents higher at $1.5206/gal. NYMEX July RBOB settled up 1.53 cents at $1.6035/gal. Trading volume was relatively thin Thursday. The number of NYMEX crude contracts that had changed hands by the settle was around 650,000 contracts, compared with a 30-day average of 927,000 contracts.
