Petrobras, Total partnership could yield deals in 2016

Brazil's Petrobras signed a partnership deal with France's Total that may see the French company eventually take a stake or invest in local oil fields or power plants yet in 2016, the two companies' CEOs said Monday. Petrobras and Total announced the strategic alliance earlier Monday, with CEOs Pedro Parente and Patrick Pouyanne signing a memorandum of understanding on the sidelines of the Rio Oil & Gas 2016 conference. The strategic partnership will be valid for two years.
