Crude production from India's Oil & Natural Gas Corp. and its joint venture assets was down 1.3% on year at 6.53 million mt (47.86 million barrels) over the October-December quarter, the company said Thursday. While ONGC has not so far announced any cuts in capital expenditure, it said it was working on several cost-cutting measures expected to bear fruit in fiscal 2016-17 when new service contracts would take effect.
