Anadarko sets 2015 capex of $5.6 billion

Houston-Anadarko Petroleum’s 2015 capital budget will be $5.4-$5.8 billion, down about 33% from last year and the bulk will be spent on a focused US onshore program, its top managers said Tuesday. The company’s capex cut this year is in line with its peers, many of whom have slashed capital budgets from 20% to 40% in recent weeks as the price of oil has plum- meted by half to around $50/barrel.
