Argentina oil, natural gas output rises year on year

Buenos Aires-Argentinian oil production rose 1.5% in May compared with the year-ago peri- od, and gas output increased 3.6%, the latest period of recovery after more than a decade of decline, national Energy Secretariat data showed Thursday. Crude production averaged 536,286 b/d in May, up 1.5% from 528,466 b/d in May 2014 and 0.5% higher than 533,390 b/d in April, the department said in a data report that did not specify reasons for the changes.
