Iran eyes 500,000 b/d export surge post-sanctions

Tehran-Iran should be able to sell as much as 500,000 b/d of additional oil immediately upon the lifting of international sanctions, but marketing more than that volume will take time, a senior Iranian oil official said over the weekend. Mohsen Ghamsari, international affairs director at the National Iranian Oil Company and the official in charge of selling Iran’s oil, also said he saw no enthusiasm among OPEC member countries to reduce production and that he did not expect crude prices to climb above $70/barrel this year or next.
