Swala ditches Zambian acreage in cost-cutting move

Africa-focused Swala Energy has decided to exit from Zambia as part of cost-cutting moves, dropping exploration rights to an onshore block it picked up less than a year ago. The Australian-based company said it has agreed to relinquish control of Swala Energy Zambia to local shareholders. The unit controls rights to Zambia’s Block 44 license.
