Jerusalem—The fate of Israel’s huge natural gas finds are likely to remain in the balance for a while longer after authorities moved to break up control of the country’s offshore fields by the US’ Noble Energy and Israeli partner Delek Group. In late December, Israel’s competition commission revoked an agreement that would have allowed Noble and Delek to retain the giant offshore Leviathan Field in exchange for the sale of the licenses of two smaller offshore fields.
