London—Armed attackers have taken control of the 40,000 b/d Mabruk oil field in central Libya, field partner Total said Wednesday, in the latest unrest across the North African country which is hitting its oil sector. Production at the field, which is operated by a Mabruk Oil Operations, a joint venture of Libya’s state-owned NOC and Total, had already been suspended toward the end of last year after the closure of the Es Sider port that exports Mabruk output.
