Australia’s Petsec closes Louisiana oil asset sale

Sydney—Sydney-based Petsec Energy has completed the sale of its interests in four oil and gas permits in southern Louisiana to a privately held US company for $17 million, the Australian junior said Wednesday. The interests sold are in the Marathon and Main Pass 270 fields and some associated exploration interests. The company retains a 12.5% working interest in the exploration rights in Main Pass 270, 273 and 274.
