Petrobras, partners discover oil in first Libra subsalt well

Rio de Janeiro-Brazilian state-run oil company Petrobras and its consortium partners in the Libra subsalt field discovered oil in the first well drilled there under new productionsharing agreements, Petrobras said Monday. The 3-BRSA-1255-RJS well, also known as NW1 or 3-RJS-731, “confirmed the discovery of good quality oil in the northwest area of the structure,” Petrobras said in a statement.
