Mumbai—In a bizarre development on Monday, India’s ONGC was forced to withdraw an earlier release pertaining to a $2.475 billion deal with Oil India Limited (OIL) to buy a 10% stake in the Rovuma Area 1 offshore block in Mozambique from private Indian firm Videocon.
