Singapore—Former OPEC member Indonesia faces an energy crisis as its crude oil production slumps while demand for refined products soars, delegates at an oil industry conference in Bali heard this week. Indonesia’s crude oil output has been declining steadily and is now running at just over half the peak of 1.6 million b/d reached in 1995.
