Petronas announces oil discovery offshore Sabah

Singapore-Anglo-Dutch Shell, US major ConocoPhillips and Malaysia's state-owned Petronas have made an oil discovery in deep waters offshore Sabah, Malaysia. The appraisal well encountered 136 meters (446 feet) of oil bearing sands, and the part- ners plan to conduct more appraisal work on the discovery to determine its recoverable vol- ume, Petronas said in a statement Monday.
