Petronas strikes oil offshore sabah in block 2G-2J

Sydney-The exploration and production arm of Malaysia's state-owned Petronas has made what it dubs a 'significant' oil discovery offshore Sabah. The discovery was made at the Wakid-1 well in block 2G-2J, about 100 km (62 miles) northwest of Kota Kinabalu, Petronas Carigali said November 15. The well was spudded May 30 and completed July 4, reaching a total vertical depth of 3,330 meters.
