Statoil, Total swap gas assets in Barents Sea

London—Statoil and Total have agreed an asset swap in production licenses in the Barents Sea, both considered to be gas-rich, as the companies look to make the most of their respective exploration portfolios. Statoil said it was acquiring 10% equity in PL535 in exchange for 10% equity in PL395 that goes to Total.
