E.ON shuts in UK Huntington field on technical fault

London—Just months after first oil, Germany’s E.ON has shut in production at the longdelayed Huntington field in the UK sector of the North Sea because of technical problems, Norwegian partner Noreco said. Noreco said E.ON had informed it and the other partners in the field that production would remain suspended until issues related to the cargo tank venting system on board the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel at the field had been resolved.
