Jakarta expects East Natuna deal this year

Kuala Lumpur-Indonesia's upstream regula- tor SKK Migas expects a production sharing contract for the long-delayed East Natuna block to be signed before the end of 2013. "East Natuna...is a matter of the Ministry of Finance giving the incentives. That part is rela- tively more easy and I think that will be decided by this year, for sure," Widhyawan Prawiraatmad- ja, deputy chairman for commercial management at SKK Migas, said on the sidelines of the 17th Asia Oil and Gas Conference in Kuala Lumpur. But a decision on the final ownership of the giant Mahakam block continues to hang in the balance.
