Sinopec readies Shandong LNG terminal

Singapore—Construction of the first LNG import terminal being built in China’s eastern Shandong province by state-owned Sinopec, or China Petroleum and Chemical Corp., is now 84% complete. The 3 million mt/year facility in Qingdao should be ready by September, construction of the harbor and three storage tanks are 95% and 88% complete respectively, Sinopec said Friday.
