Australian LNG Ltd. seeks to export more from US

Sydney—Australia’s Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd. has asked the US Department of Energy to approve plans to export up to 8 million mt/ year of LNG to countries that do not have a free trade agreement with the US from its proposed Magnolia project in Louisiana, the company said Wednesday. Magnolia LNG, which is wholly owned by LNG Ltd., has also sought DOE permission to export an additional 4 million mt/year of LNG to countries that currently and in the future may have an FTA with the US.
