Galoc oil field produces 5,800 b/d after FPSO upgrade

Singapore—The Galoc field offshore Palawan in the Philippines produced an average 5,872 b/d of crude oil in the second quarter, following the installation of an upgraded floating production, storage and offloading vessel in April, Australia-listed Nido Petroleum said in its quarterly production report July 30. Galoc, located in SC14C, came back online in early April after a shutdown late November last year for the refurbishment of the Rubicon Intrepid FPSO. The field is operated by Galoc Production Company—owned by a joint venture between Otto Energy and Vitol Group (59.8%), Nido (22.9%) and a few Philippine companies (17.3%).
