Baku—Turkey is investigating if sabotage was behind a 100-meter (328 feet) rupture along the Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline a week ago, commercial and diplomatic sources told Platts in Baku, Azerbaijan, June 5. About 100 meters of pipe was ripped open in the explosion, a diplomatic source said. Turkish officials believe the explosion was a result of a terrorist act, most likely by Kurdish separatist group PKK, the source added.
