Cyprus makes plans for future drilling surge

Jerusalem—Drilling in the offshore blocks to be awarded in Cyprus’ second licensing round is expected to start in two to three years, according to Solon Kassinis, Cypriot Energy Service director. In an interview with Platts, Kassinis said that an eight-member committee was already assessing the bids from the fifteen companies and consortia that submitted bids for nine of the 12 blocks.
