Pakistan eyes Qatar LNG imports of 500,000 Mcf/d

Karachi-The Pakistan government is looking to import LNG equivalent to around 500,000 Mcf/d from Qatar as it strives to alleviate the country's deepening energy crisis. "A four-member delegation will soon leave for Qatar to hold negotiations and finalize a plan to bring in around 500,000 Mcf/day of LNG," an official with the petroleum ministry said January 11. "Price structure would also be dis- cussed and finalized [at this meeting]," he said.
