Bali, Indonesia—Thailand’s state-run energy group PTT has completed negotiations and expects to sign a sales and purchase agreement with Qatargas for 2 million mt/year of LNG by the end of the year, company executives said. The contract will start in 2015 and run for 20 years, Charcrie Buranakanonda, senior executive vice president for PTT’s gas business unit, and Panu Sutthirat, executive vice president for gas supply, said on the sidelines of the GASEX conference in Bali October 9. “We have already got [government] approval for the contract so we can consider it confirmed,” Sutthirat said.
