India moves to expedite oil, gas projects

Singapore—India has announced plans to set up a new body called the Project Clearance Board to expedite clearances and approvals for energy and infrastructure projects, including oil and gas exploration projects. One of main hurdles to speedy implementation of projects was the delay in obtaining security-related clearances from many agencies, the prime minister’s office said in a statement July 19.
