Sydney—Australia’s Arrow Energy, a joint venture between Shell and PetroChina, has lodged environmental approval documents for the coalseam gas wells it plans to drill in Queensland’s Bowen Basin to supply its proposed LNG plant on Curtis Island. According to the submission on May 9, field development and construction of associated infrastructure is expected to begin in early 2014, with 15 to 30 wells then expected to be drilled each month.
