Namibia’s Namcor closer to Kudu field start

Windhoek, Namibia—The development of Namibia’s Kudu natural gas field has been mired in political woes, but partners in the project appear confident the gas-to-power scheme may soon see the light of day. The country’s state-owned Namcor is not only close to finding a new partner for the $4 billion project after Russia’s Gazprom bailed in May 2011, but it has also negotiated a deal with the government on funding for the gas-to-power project.
