Houston—Shares of offshore drillers NobleCorporation and Diamond Offshore rose morethan 3% April 19 after both companies deliv-ered first-quarter results that beat expecta-tions while executives voiced optimism on theoutlook for global deepwater opportunities.Noble’s shares closed up 3.4% at$37.89, compared with a 52-week low of$27.33 and a high of $43.57 while Dia-mond’s shares closed up 3.6% at $68.54,compared with a 52-week low of $51.16 anda high of $78.63.
